Faith-Building Hour

Faith Building Hour will meet again after the Labor Day Weekend, 2008.

Faith Building Hour normally begins at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Classes using the GROWING IN CHRIST curriculum from Concordia Publishing House provide students from ages 3 through 18 a solid ground in the Word of God, focusing on Jesus, their Savior. Children hear the Good News of Christ's death and resurrection in every lesson while still being exposed ot the other bible stories.

We utilize our teens as mentors, pairing them up with the younger children to provide a more one-on-one setting.

The hour begins with the children and teens in the sanctuary for the introduction to the lesson and prayer. From there, the students break into their mentoring groups to apply to the day's lesson, followed by a snack or craft and ending in the sanctuary for a time of praise.

At Chirstmas time we hold our annual Christmas Program, telling the birth of Christ. We encourage participation from children to the teens and, at times, even integrating the adult participants from the Adult Faith Building Hour, providing an opportunity for them to share the Good News also.
